Project Overview

The Brief

With a high awareness amongst the Borderlands Bros, we wanted Tiny Tina's Wonderlands to break through to a younger, more diverse gaming demographic.

We needed to identify a BIG “social” tactic to reach this audience. Not just an expensive piece of content with a media spend to promote it. "Caffeine-addled 13-year-old" was the phrase of the day. We can do that.

Our Approach

To reach a more diverse audience, we needed to take the iconic Shroomie out of the Wonderlands and into the real world through stunts and content opportunities.

Our one-of-a-kind custom Shroomie costume enabled us to interact with creators and enter cultural moments with Wonderlands’ #1 cutest bad guy. The practical mascot outfit helped us launch the Shroomie IRL with a bang – before transitioning into more sustainable activations and reactive content to build excitement and engagement with audiences on social.
