Project Overview
The Brief
Wildlife was asked to create a compelling VR experience to educate medical professionals about the new Vonvendi medication, created to combat Von Willebrand Disease.
While every medication requires a standard method of action video, Vonvendi needed a more engaging way to explain what makes it different from similar medications that help blood clotting.
The Concept
The Mission takes users on an exciting ride in a futuristic submersible into the bloodstream to witness how Vonvendi works first hand.
Through a cinematic, gamified experience users are introduced to Von Willebrand's Disease, and learn about the Vonvendi medication as they deploy the drug and help create a clot at the site of a vascular wound.
Educational and compelling
A thrilling first-hand visualization inside the bloodstream.
Debuting at the HTRS 2023 conference, the experience proved to be a compelling debut for health care professionals. The response was fantastic, with all the attendees who put on the VR headset delighted at this method of learning about a new disease area, in an interactive and engaging manner.
Meet EVW-1
A trusty robot copilot helps users navigate this immersive experience and explains key medical information in an engaging way. Named after Dr. Eric Von Willebrand (namesake of the disease he discovered), we created EVW-1 to guide our users throughout the activation with ease.
Learning Through Gameplay
The experience offers two distinct interactive moments to showcase how Vonvendi protects Factor VIII and how that aids in clotting.
Users first get the chance to dispense Vonvendi from the ship's cannon, aiming to hit Factor VIII to allow the medication to protect this vital protein. After traveling further through the bloodstream, users arrive at a vascular injury and encounter their next challenge. The ship's tractor beam is engaged as users must grab multimers and steer them into position to help build the clot on the site of the wound.
All users are given a score at the end of the experience based on their performance in the games as well as their overall piloting skills.
