Project Overview
The Brief
Looking for a way to better streamline the environmental development process for the Quest 2 headset, Meta leveraged our extensive knowledge in the 3D and experiential space to develop new VR production tools and an all-new Quest environment for the upcoming 2023 Gaming Showcase.
Working from a set of proprietary Unreal Engine 5 tools, we worked with Meta to develop an entirely new pipeline for production, porting XR environments from Unreal to a Quest-friendly version. This included novel methods for baking lighting, placing environmental details, and exporting final shell assets for headset testing.
